Leaving Veteran’s Park on Friday
The outdoor piano that livened Downtown Port Coquitlam over the summer will be moved to the Port Coquitlam Recreation Complex (2150 Wilson Ave) on Friday, September 23rd. The move allows the public to continue to enjoy PoCo’s public piano as the weather changes.
Celebrate Move at the PoCo Farmer’s Market
The community is invited to celebrate the last day of our Pianos on the Street project with a kid friendly scavenger hunt during the Port Coquitlam Farmer’s Market on Thursday, September 22nd from 3-7pm at Leigh Square.
Pianos on the Street Outdoor Music Project
The piano is provided as part of the Pianos on the Street outdoor music project. Pianos on the Street is a community engagement initiative spearheaded by Pacey’s Pianos and the Piano Teachers Federation in partnership with the City of Port Coquitlam.
Since 2014, Pianos on the Street has been placing pianos in public places in iconic locations throughout Metro Vancouver for the community to enjoy. A focal point at popular gathering places, the colourful pianos are a catalyst for drawing people together and sparking conversations between people.
