Presented by Second Storey Theatre and Gleneagle Secondary Theatre

The Youth Improv Festival is a two day festival with shows and workshops aimed at youth from grades 9 to 12. As part of the festival, you will receive two workshops with Second Storey Theatre’s Artistic Director Graham Myers focused on games and skills that will prepare the improvisers for the shows on Friday and Saturday night. There will also be workshops during the day on Saturday taught by professional improvisers from all over the Lower Mainland. The overall goal is to bring youth together in collaboration and expand their network of friends and grow the performance community as a whole.

Each participating team will be mentored by Artistic Director Graham Myers from Second Storey Theatre. He has a rich history in the Tri-Cities and beyond as well as years of experience working with youth. You will have access to our library of Games and Exercises to help bring your team to the top level of performance. Workshops will be focused on establishing a strong group dynamic, and working towards performance at the two night festival in February.

We will work together with the school system to provide an extraordinary experience for all students involved. If you know of a school interested in joining the Youth Improv Festival please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have
