A Port Coquitlam retail pot shop remains open despite ongoing fines from the city and two police raids. Cannabis Culture – a high-profile storefront at Lougheed Highway and Shaughnessy Street, operating as part of Marc Emery’s brand – continues to sell recreational weed to the public.

All Port Coquitlam civic employees are now making at least a living wage. Last week, PoCo became the third municipality in Canada to implement the living wage policy – meaning anyone who works for the city earns a minimum of $20.64 an hour.

 

Budget committee for City of Port Coquitlam voted to spent up to $25,000 from the 2017-’18 financial plan to pay for new workstations and chairs.
