Today, Coquitlam RCMP is hoping to give Ann Winston her 80th birthday wish; information to solve the mystery of her daughter’s disappearance.

She was our baby, says Ann. It would really get to me if we could find her. That’s exactly what I want to do.

Coquitlam RCMP have been looking for Kim Rogelstad (also known as Kim Winston) since June 5, 2007, when Ann called police to say Kim was missing. In order to help that goal, police are releasing two never-before-published photos of Kim in an effort to find a crucial clue about what happened to her.

When she went missing, Kim was 43-years-old and described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Green eyes, brown hair (often worn in a ponytail)
  • 5’8 (173 cm) and 145 lbs (66 kg)
  • Known to hang out at coffee shops and fast-food restaurants in the area of Pinetree Way and Lougheed Highway.

She was very soft underneath, says Ann. I had two operations and she took care of me. She fixed me up with pots of tea and milk in a mug- and she was a fabulous cook. I know it’s been a long time, but I’d love to know what happened to her.

If you have any information about what happened to Kim Rogelstad (nee Winston), please call the Coquitlam RCMP non-emergency line at 604-945-1550 and ask for the Missing Person’s Unit (file #2007-19504). If you need to give your tip anonymously, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or visit www.solvecrime.ca.
