Dear Port Coquitlam Residents;
I am writing you today seeking your support for re-election to Port Coquitlam City Council on October 20, 2018. In the past 7 years I have worked diligently to make sure concerns from residents regarding fiscal responsibility, better recreation facilities and a clean safe city are heard at the council table.
Over the past five years as Chairperson of the Finance and Budget Committee I have been an advocate to keep tax increases to a minimum. This is something that has been accomplished as the average annual tax rate increase has been just over 2% over that period moving the city from the middle of the pack down to the second lowest taxes in the Lower Mainland!
I am proud of the fact that while identifying savings we continue to operate the city at a high standard while enhancing our emergency services with the hiring of 20 fire fighters and 11 police officers in that period. Record construction is also underway all over the city renewing our water pipe and road network in addition to the replacement of our community rec centre that is going to be the gem of the city.
With your support I will continue to work towards making our great city the best place to live, work and play while
continuing to work hard on behalf of you to make sure tax increases remain at a minimum so your money is kept where it belongs…in your pocket!
I’ve been a strong and experienced voice for Port Coquitlam residents. I am from our community, know our issues and have a record of standing up for your interests. On October 20th I am asking for your vote to continue working hard on your behalf.
