Nobody is hurt and one person has been apprehended after a police incident involving a firearm.
The call came in to police just before 3:30 p.m. today from the area of Hastings Street and Kitchener Avenue, Port Coquitlam. One hour later, the lone suspect was apprehended on a trail a short distance away.
The suspect will be treated for any medical issues before a report is forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service for potential approval of any charges. The police investigation will take some time.

A firearms-related incident in Port Coquitlam had police advising residents to lock their doors Wednesday afternoon. Police say no one was injured and the incident ended peacefully. Officers swarmed the area around Woodland Drive, Shaughnessy Street, Lougheed Highway and Lincoln Avenue about 3:30 p.m.
